台灣是塊寶地，面積約有3.6萬平方公里，約為香港的33倍大，南北長約377公里，東西寬約142公里，海岸線全長約1,200公里(含澎湖群島總長約1,520公里)；地形豐富，蘊含著高山、丘陵、盆地、平原、臺地、島嶼、縱谷及海岸等景觀，其中高山與丘陵約佔全島總面積三分之二，處處有驚喜。一座矗立於太平洋上的小島，充滿無限的生命力，許多人終其一生在這裡度過，卻未到過台灣的每一個角落。
